You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (TECHNICAL COORDINATOR) in the NAVAL AIR TECHNICAL DATA & ENGINEERING SERVICE COMMAND of NV AIR TECHNICAL DATA AND ENGRG SVC.

This position has two vacancies located at several duty stations which include the following:

Responsibilities

* You will be responsible for providing field engineering and technical advice, assistance, and instruction to naval commands/units in support of naval aviation weapons systems, equipment, and/or support equipment.

* You will provide authoritative guidance on assigned aviation systems for all technical and logistics matters concerning Engineering Technical Services (ETS) issues.

* You will deal with internal/external contacts and vendors in the investigation and resolution of engineering and design deficiency discrepancies concerning assigned systems.

* You will provide guidance, advice, and assistance to a global team of NATEC Engineering Technical Services (ETS) technical representatives.

* You will be independently responsible for providing technical advice and assistance on the acceptance, installation, operation, and/or maintenance of assigned aviation systems.

* Must successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination and maintain required physical standards in accordance with NATEC Instruction 12339.1.

* Must pass a workplace drug screening examination as appropriate for the security clearance associated with this position.

* Must sign DoD Civilian Overseas Emergency Essential (E-E) Position Agreement (DD Form 2365).

* Must be willing and able to sign Mobility Agreement.

* Must obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing field engineering and technical advice, assistance, and instruction to naval command/units in support of naval aviation weapons systems, equipment, and/or support; 2) Providing technical authority for all technical and logistics matters concerning Engineering Technical Services issues on assigned aviation systems; 3) Dealing with higher level contracts at NAVAIR and others in the investigation and resolution of engineering and design deficiency discrepancies concerning assigned aviation systems; 4) Maintaining currency and knowledge of future logistics support events, (e.g. Integrated Logistics Support Management, Maintenance Engineering Logistics review, Publication Reviews, and In-Process Reviews) in support of naval aviation operations and procedures; 5) Reviewing operation, maintenance, and installation procedures and other technical data applicable to the area of responsibility throughout the Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Command.
