DESCRIPTION

Based in Camden, New Jersey you will direct and coordinate activities of industrial organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits. You will direct rail maintenance and operations through a team of functional managers and front line supervisors. You will also ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and trainset reliability and availability.

In your role you will:

* Plan, develop and implement organization policies and goals;

* Coordinate activities of divisions or departments to insure compliance with FRA, FTA, State Safety Oversight and CPU regulations, Collective Bargaining agreements, Quality and Maintenance and Safety to effect operational efficiency and economy;

* Be responsible for ensuring the site meets or exceeds contractual and internal Bombardier Key Performance Indicators;

* Analyze department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions and efficiencies can be made, and allocate the operating budget;

* Confer with administrative personnel and review activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required;

* Direct preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented;

* Act as a liaison with customer, operating departments, and outside agencies with respect to operations, maintenance of way, facilities, and maintenance of equipment and all issues arising from the Service Property and/or Service Operation;

* Provide leadership and mentoring for problem resolution to facilitate improvements and improve working relationships both internal and external;

* Ensure customer needs and expectations are addressed in a timely and efficient manner through a documented process;

* Identify maintenance and operations trends/issues and develop programs and procedures to ensure improved site safety, operations, fleet reliability and availability;

* Discuss inspection and repair defects or violations with federal and public representatives to resolve concerns, such as time of repair, repair cost, and methods of preventing future defects or violations;

* Undertake projects, prepare reports and perform other duties as directed by senior management or the client;

* Act as contract administrador overseeing all aspects between Bombardier and the customer.

As our ideal candidate:

* You have ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience of senior manager in the heavy rail industry (preferably Passenger Rail);

* You have good communication skills both written and verbal;

* You have ability to resolve problem.
