The Position Overview

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to contribute to Cambridge International's success by supporting the development and implementation of quality control processes that ensure our products conform to a documented, measureable standard that exceeds our customer's expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for establishing, implementing, and directing quality control efforts to ensure that requirements for processing components, and other materials into finished goods and products conform to quality standards

* Through subordinate supervisors or professional staff, establishes and maintains quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls. Provide coaching and mentoring of team.

* Works directly with manufacturing to schedule and control inspection activities and to enforce requirements as specified by raw materials, ingredients, products and package specifications, and regulatory agencies. Reviews contract documentation for completeness and accuracy

* Assure that products/materials meet or exceed internal and external customer requirements.

* Define quality standards and recommend material and tolerance requirements.

* Advanced quality inspection and documentation of incoming and out-going materials through the use of calibrated measuring equipment.

* Required to conform to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

* Perform advanced quality inspections and documentation in key areas of manufacturing to ensure product is within tolerance and meets internal/external customer requirements.

* Write and document advanced processes, data analysis, correspondence and reports.

* Perform process auditing (i.e. QMS lean/six sigma audits), root cause and corrective action analysis, and train team in said manufacturing processes.

* Complete, interpret and review blue prints and provide potential product/process solutions and improvements. Basic CAD proficiency and ability to learn advanced CAD functions.

* Provides basic metallurgy and basic material failure analysis. Visual and nondestructive weld inspection and analysis.

* Travel to customer/vendor sites for root cause investigation/vendor validation.

* Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.


* Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Technology, Business Management or a related field preferred.

* Certification in a Quality Assurance system preferred.

* 3-5 years prior Quality Control experience

* 5-10 years prior manufacturing experience

* Knowledge of manufacturing processes

* Ability to read measuring tapes, calipers, micrometers and other instrumentation

* Proficiency with advanced metrology equipment

* Drafting/CAD skills

* Multilingual

* CMM programming

* Problem solving and reasoning skills
