Our client in Cambridge, MA is a high-growth startup building cutting edge consumer devices.   They have an immediate need for Electrical Engineering Manager to work on technology that will impact millions of people around the world.  This will be a key role in the engineering team as they are working to fulfill orders that are flooding in for their product. 


Manage, develop and motivate an electrical engineering department that builds electrical components for elecro-mechanical mobility devices. The Electrical Engineering Manager works Mechanical Engineering and Embedded Software teams to coordinate tasks, timelines and product road maps. The Electrical Engineering Manager has management and development experience within a highly technical environments that produce low cost products that can be manufactured at a high-volume.

  • Partner with managers of software, mechanical, and manufacturing groups to assess technical needs and set product direction.

  • Meet with individual engineers to track assignments and progress, provide technical mentoring, assist in career development, coordinate training and contribute to performance reviews.

  • Cross functional interdepartmental support to include; Manufacturing, Procurement and testing. 

  • Review technical specifications, design documentation, and test reports that support electrical designs.

  • Be responsible for tactical planning and matching of resources to assignments.

  • Some travel, 10 to 15% will be required, including international travel. 

Required Skills:

  • Technical experience and expertise across the spectrum of electrical engineering, including analog and digital design, PCB development, communication protocols, and EMC.

  • Proven application of debugging techniques.

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

  • BS Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of development and 2+ years of leadership experience on an electrical engineering team.
