The Position:

In this role you will work on the mission-critical task of pricing, drafting, negotiating and closing software license and service transactions, with support from Senior Business Officers. These transactions are often mid-to-large deals with large industry-leading companies and involve time-sensitive, high-intensity negotiations with skilled client procurement experts, lawyers or professional negotiators. Negotiations are multi-level and cross functional.

You will be responsible for assisting with deal structuring and pricing and for contract drafting, negotiating business and legal terms with customers, and revenue recognition analysis. As an Associate Business Officer you will also frequently interact with senior sales executives, obtain required approvals when necessary and drive deals to signature.

In this role, you will:

* Work under the direction of Senior Business Officers, act as lead negotiator with customers' procurement executives and lawyers to ensure that negotiations are conducted in a disciplined manner

* Use the full offer negotiation process to retain maximum value for the company and consistency with company standards and precedent

* Review and draft software license and service agreements using concise language to rapidly resolve contract issues in a manner that is reasonable for the company and the customer

* Accountable to drive the timely completion of all steps in the deal process, including framing, pricing, negotiation and closing of license transactions

The Person:

You are the right person for this role if you are a skilled communicator and aspiring deal maker. You will need prior experience in software license, service, and strategic commercial transactions- specifically in deal structuring, pricing, contract drafting and exercising business judgment.

In this role you will need to have had experience collaborating with sales executives and sales leadership and a background in the legal space is certainly a bonus. Qualifications will include:

* U.S. Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent

* 2-5+ years' experience in software license, service and/or strategic transactions

* 2-5+ years' experience reviewing or drafting commercial contracts

* Intellectual and strategic curiosity

* Clear, concise and confident written and oral communication skills

* An equal mix of a sense of commitment and a sense of humor

* Prior experience in technology pricing preferred

* Basic understanding of software revenue recognition preferred
