California University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for inclusion in a temporary faculty resume file to be in effect from spring 2015 through fall 2016.

The Department of Professional Studies seeks part-time faculty to teach various graduate and undergraduate courses in the legal studies and land management programs via online delivery. For the LAW courses (except for Law 305), a minimum of a Juris Doctorate is required plus significant experience in the actual subject matter of the course. For Law 305 a minimum of a master's degree or a Juris Doctorate is required plus significant experience as a landman. For courses designated AST (Homeland Security) or PCJ (Professional Criminal Justice), the department prefers traditional terminal degrees in criminal justice, law, legal studies and related fields but will consider a Master's candidate with strong experiential backgrounds in the course subject matter. In all courses, online teaching experience is preferred.

Also, in accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and APSCUF, the successful applicant might be assigned to perform work at off-campus sites, in the evening/weekend college and/or provide instruction through distance learning.

In order to be considered in this search, in addition to the aforementioned requirements, the applicant minimally must be fluent in the English language, be able to communicate well, demonstrate outstanding potential for excellence in teaching through a successful interview and/or classroom demonstration and be experienced in the use of innovative curricular approaches that are student-centered, inquiry-based, and hands-on oriented.
