License/Certification/ Education: Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years experience in an appropriate field. MBA preferred, but not required.

Knowledge|Skills|Abilities:

* Strong Managed Care experience from healthcare service provider or Health Systems required; clinical laboratory background a strong plus

* Prior experience managing within a complex healthcare services business, preferably laboratory services, home health care products & services, Managed Care Organizations and/or ACO's.

* Successful track record of strategic planning and leadership within healthcare service businesses, with a strong knowledge of the eastern US marketplace

* Superior negotiating skills to ensure contracts are signed, implemented, retained and profitable

* Inspirational leadership presence and emotional intelligence to direcly lead 25+ employees and influence executives, peers and employees

* Flexibility in working hours and available for frequent business travel up to 50%

Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings is looking for a Vice-President - Managed Care, East with a focus on Managed Care strategy growth and relationship buiding. The VP-Managed Care, East will guide and lead the managed care strategies, business, and financial goals. This position must be a strategic leader with strong business acumen, legal aptitude, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Manage and grow the Managed Care revenue for the North East, Mid Atlantic, South East and Florida areas

* Achieve financial goals and objectives with ownership of revenue and margin within a defined customer group

* Develop strategies to extend LabCorp's leadership position and manage complex negotiations

* Responsible for developing, coaching and managing a team of 4 direct reports to achieve divisional and corporate goals through territory growth management, relationship building, strategic selling, as well as focus on employer groups

* Work with local and corporate Senior Leadership to design, direct and execute divisional strategies and activities to support organizational objectives

* Maintain knowledge of state and federal legislative and regulatory laws and rules regarding managed care

* Seeks and initiates opportunities to drive portfolio growith in Divisional Market, with direct responsibility for revenue greater than $1.5Billion

* Lead regional implementation and achieve performance goals of national contracts

* Identify current local and regional trends, developments and changes in the managed care space and adapt strategy to ensure success

* Establish strong and sustainable relationships with Divisional, Regional and National Managed Care clients
