Full-time position available for our Burien Medical Clinic. The MA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance of the MA’s and LPN’s working in the pod, assisting with the patient flow issues and performing procedures as needed. Other duties include assisting with patient acute illness screening, administrative duties as assigned and managing phone messages for the providers in the assigned pod. The MA Supervisor will be required to follow other instructions and to perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Manager or Clinic Manager. The MA Supervisor is team oriented; works collaboratively with all other healthcare team members to provide the best outcome for patients and the organization. The MA Supervisor manages the overall function of the pod he or she is assigned to, provides patient education, and assists provider in obtaining and ensuring appropriate consents meet federal guidelines. MA Supervisor must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Education and/or Responsibilities:
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant with the State of Washington
- Must have working knowledge of OB/GYN medical terminology & procedures
- Must have a minimum two years of ambulatory experience and supervisory experience
- Manages the overall function of the pod while providing patient education
- Will assist provider in obtaining and ensuring appropriate consents meet federal guidelines
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required for this position
