Senior HR Service Center Associate

This role provides a primary point of contact for HR related inquiries of moderate to high levels of complexity from employees, managers, former employees, and retirees. This role requires extensive knowledge of established HR programs, policies and procedures. Answers questions and provides guidance on issues escalated from less experienced service center associates, requiring the application of independent judgment. Audits employee transactions related to new hires, promotions, terminations, and benefit related transactions in an accurate and timely manner, and ensures data accuracy. Makes recommendations on process improvements in the HR Service center and supports projects and initiatives where necessary. Primary Responsibility Responds to all types of HR related inquiries of moderate and high levels complexity from employees, managers, former employees, and retirees, requiring extensive knowledge on HR programs, policies, and procedures. Identifies or escalates unresolved matters to the corresponding center of excellence. Acts as the liaison with HR centers of excellence on matters escalated to those areas. Work closely with HRBPs and Employee Relations on complex issues. Answers complex questions and responds to inquiries escalated by less experienced associates which requires the application of independent judgement. Acts a resource for other team members for training and guidance on daily tactical issues. Independently makes recommendations on process improvements in the HR Service Center and provides support on projects and initiatives where necessary. Provides guidance to less experienced associates on complex matters. Processes all personnel and benefit transactions in a timely and accurate in accordance with policies and procedures. Escalates for approval when needed. Continually audits employee data and transactions to ensure accuracy of data. Makes corrections as required. Escalates any complex system or data related issues to the HRIS team for resolution. Audits interface reports as required. Assists employees, managers and retirees with questions related to benefits, leaves of absence, FMLA, disability, parental leave, the attendance program and ensure the proper coding and handling of employee records as indicated by policy. Ensures adherence to standards set by company policies and contract guidelines. Facilitates the administration of employee related programs, policies and activities throughout the life cycle of employment according to HealthNow Policy. Provides education to end users and participants. Administers various system wide programs according to corporate policy. This includes tuition reimbursement, time and attendance, and license and certification. May serve as project lead for annual Open Enrollment, coordinating the planning and implementation of the program. May work with outside immigration counsel, team members, and paralegals to ensure that immigrant visa applications and extensions, permanent resident applications, and work authorizations are completed and filed accurately and on time. May conduct research on immigration and employment laws and regulations. Assists employees with onboarding, including I-9 administration and unemployment processes. Assists employees and retirees during open enrollment. Runs ad hoc reports from various systems as required. Performs other duties as required. Knowledge and Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with intermediate proficiency. Strong understanding of processes and data, including employee life cycle events; benefit rules and procedures. Experience with databases tools. Demonstrated Customer service orientation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Demonstrated critical thinking and/or problem solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with limited supervision. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet assigned deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Ability to effectively and collaboratively work with all levels of the organization, as well as external vendors and agencies. Experience Bachelor's Degree Preferred. Requires 4 years in a Human Resources and or Benefits role. A combination of education and relevant related experience will be considered.
