Reliability Systems Specialist

We are currently seeking a Systems Specialist with focus on Computerized Maintenance Management System in the Houston, Buffalo or Chicago area. This individual will have national support responsibility. This position will report to the Reliability Engineering Manager and will work with the US Reliability team and other corporate/regional/plant personnel to achieve strategic reliability goals.

The overall objective of the System Specialist is to optimize reliability information to support safe and reliable operation of production facilities at the lowest life cycle cost. This person will have the ability to work independently and make decisions based on full awareness of cost and other benefits.

Key responsibilities:

1. Own and maintain reliability-critical systems – such as Infor EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and Prime ProCal - for US Operations

2. Ensure optimal integrity of reliability-critical databases via regular data reviews, loading, monitoring and reporting.

3. Provide technical support and training to system users. Routine support of the US facilities over the phone, computer and on-site will be an important part of the role

4. Lead or assist in identification and execution of continuous improvement in regards to reliability program initiatives.

5. Assist in developing and publishing value-added reports to accurately measure and drive continuous improvement in areas such as work identification, policy compliance, schedule compliance, PM program effectiveness, and cost capture.

6. Assist in maintaining and optimizing data interface links to systems such as JDE, Infor EAM, Prime ProCal, Bentley Asset Wise etc.

7. Function as a technical interface for information systems between reliability, maintenance, operations, projects and corporate personnel. Must have a strong customer focus and be able to work independently and in teams.

8. Assist key national and regional stakeholders in timely and effective execution of strategic and tactical reliability objectives.

9. Maintain and propose updates to selected standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standard maintenance procedures (SMPs) for data management systems and their associated work processes.

Required Qualifications:

1. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Engineering

2. 3 years of experience in information, system or database administration, maintenance and management.

3. Proven experience in maintaining and optimizing database oriented information systems.

4. Proven experience in managing system utilization with local and remote users.

5. Proven experience in developing and maintaining reporting protocols.

6. Excellent communication and team interaction skills.

7. Proven ability to work independently as well as lead teams.

8. Proven experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.

9. Highly proficient in standard E-mail systems and software packages such as MS Office - particularly MS Excel.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in EAM systems such as Infor, Maximo or SAP.

2. Proven familiarity with standard industrial equipment and parts in a continuous process manufacturing environment.

3. Proven familiarity with standard reliability and maintenance strategies such as planning & scheduling, PM & PdM programs.

4. Proven experience with web-based applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, ETL process and reporting software such as IBM Cognos, Crystal reportsand OBIEE.

5. Knowledge of Inventory and Bills of Material

This position is primarily based in the office but could require domestic travel up to 10% of the time. Off-hours accessibility (laptop and cell phone) are occasionally required.
