Customer Service Representative WIC

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for answering phone, screen for program eligibility and scheduling participants following the policies and procedures of the NYSDOH WIC program manual. Works at all sites as assigned.


* Provide Participant Centered Nutrition Education (PCNE) customer service by phone or in person.

* Receives telephone calls to make appointments, assist participants, or route to professional staff as appropriate.

* Review potential income guidelines and required income documents and provides orientation information to new applicants.

* Inputs client data into WICSIS computer program.

* Reviews WIC application information with applicants as necessary.

* Documents notes in WICSIS.Achieves proficiency in WICSIS.

* Attends staff meetings, Catholic Charities, WICSIS and NYSDOH trainings as assigned.

* Comply with the Agency's Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, laws, regulations, and ethical standards applicable to your position in the WIC program and Catholic Charities.

* Travels to all sites, transports laptops, computers and other equipment to sites.

* May have to lift up to 30lbs.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNT ABILITIES/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accountable to Site Leaders and Coordinator, Assistant Director and Director.


EDUCATION: High School Diploma


* Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle are required and appropriate insurance coverage as per Catholic Charities policy. *
