About the Position

College Sitters of Buffalo and Williamsville are hiring on-call sitters with a flexible schedule now! Looking for reliable and responsible sitters in the surrounding areas looking to work 15-25 hours a week.

+ Infant experience preferred but not required

+ 2-3 days a week!

+ Work when you're available!

Job Description: Embodies the CNST Core Values:

+ Attends to children in a professional manner and communicates well with children, family and CNST

+ Performs a variety of age appropriate tasks, including but not limited to

dressing, feeding, bathing, overseeing play, preparing food

managing behavior, cleaning up after children, providing entertainment and creative, fun activities that are appropriate and applicable

+ Performs an intro call prior to each assignment using the Sitter Checklist

+ Consistently completes a Sitter Report and straightens up each time

+ Assists in development and learning of new skills for children

+ Helps with domestic activities related to the care of the children assigned

+ Submits online/mobile Time sheets for work within 24 hours of completion

+ Maintains updated availability via online/mobile Calendar as directed by local CNST office

Market/Customer Understanding: ability to professionally represent company's marketing messaging and brand promise of Building Stronger Families with each family cliet

Critical Thinking: maintains good judgement, time management, trustworthiness, and responsibility

Business Operational Understanding: can evaluate client service needs and provide ongoing service. Has expertise in practices, procedures of business' operations

Communication Skills: ability to listen to others, provide appropriate feedback, communicate professionally to develop and maintain successful work relationships. Demonstrated ability for effective report writing and communication with both children and adults

Interpersonal Skills - can build rapport with children, parents, family members and CNST management; able to work both independently and collaboratively

Qualifications:

+CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to obtain certification

+ At least one year certificate from a college or technical school or currently enrolled in higher education institution

+ Child development knowledge and skills: has a minimum of three months experience related to care of children or child development in an applicable field

+ Ownership of a mobile phone and consistent internet access are required for regular communication

+ Is physically able to move and engage with children, can hear, see and communicate effectively

Physical Environment:

+Works in a clean environment and is able to lift up to 30 pounds

+ Travel is required with reliable transportation necessary. Access to a vehicle and driver's license may be necessary for some positions
