Responsibilities

Summary: Assemble and test multiple styles of front and rear bus door electrical and pneumatic actuators. Will need direct supervision from Team Lead and/or manager. Work from blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams and Process Standards Sheets (PSS), Team Leader and manager instructions, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Use computer to pull up latest drawing of actuator to be assembled.

Using pneumatic tools, hand tools, electric tools and torque tools to attach and properly secure a wide variety of components and subassemblies to a base plate.

Adjust components as needed and certify quality of assembly or sub-assembly.

May fabricate components to be used in the final assembly such as teeter lever or engine housing or components. Some of these operations may involve light machining and light welding.

Follows assembly drawings, Process Standard Sheet (PSS) instructions and verbal directions from Team Leader and supervisor

Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Ability to follow instructions and management directive.

Ensure a safe working environment, good housekeeping and 5's for your respective area and all of VBI

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical studies preferred; and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
