Barnes Group Inc. Corporate office has an exciting opportunity to join our HR team in advancing our digital solutions roadmap by delivering effective and scalable global HR systems and solutions that meet Barnes Group's growth, transformation efforts and business needs. The Sr. HCM Configurations Analyst will leverage their experience and technical expertise in the configuration, integration and implementation of our HCM solutions. We are looking for a thought partner to work with multiple business functions, implement and drive process improvements across all HR systems and expand our systems globally. In addition, this individual will contribute to the development of comprehensive HR reporting and analytics to support HR and business leaders in the development of strategic human capital insights to support achievement of our talent management initiatives and business objectives. This role reports to the Director, Global Benefits and HR Digital Solutions.

Required Skills

* Provide hands-on technical expertise in the design, development, implementation and configuration of our HCM systems and supporting modules (UltiPro HCMS, Taleo, SilkRoad Recruiting/Onboarding, PeopleFluent Compensation).

* Proactively recommend and drive improvements to business processes through system functionality, implementations, integration or configuration in support of HR transformation efforts.

* Recommend and plan future enhancements, improvements and new applications within the UltiPro system to address and meet emerging HR/business priorities and requirements.

* Acts as a workstream lead on system projects, releases and issue resolution.

* Partner closely with cross-functional teams and consult with system users to gain understanding of business processes to identify and evaluate reconfiguration opportunities in response to business issues and challenges.

* Develop technology capability or tools to improve operational efficiency/workflow, enable HR productivity and minimize transactional activity (i.e. Employee Self Service, Manager self-service, mobile deployment, etc.) and their ongoing maintenance/expansion.

* Work directly with the HR community to test and implement new systems or improvements.

* Performs full regression testing on system updates, new releases, enhancements and interfaces to ensure processes are functioning as designed.

* Create integrations/interfaces and automate data passage out of and into our Core HCM solution to/from vendors and other internal systems.

* Controls application security, organizational hierarchies and system structure supports organizational needs and preserves system integrity and accuracy. Supports GDPR global compliance efforts through system architecture.

* Utilize data and systems knowledge (BI/Cognos Analytics and Dashboard Visualization tools) to design, develop and maintain complex custom reports and queries as needed by stakeholders. Maintains comprehensive reporting library.

* Maintain documentation for system specifications, configurations, processes and procedures. Manages internal control requirements.

* Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation for all systems. Creates training materials and trains new users / team members on processes/functionality.

* Maintains knowledge of strategic and emerging technology trends within HCM environment, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.

* Participates in the development of Digital Solutions Strategy and associated project plans/execution.

Required Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Management, Computer Science, Business Management or related field and working experience with HRIS systems.

* 3-5 years in-depth system knowledge and demonstrated experience with supporting, implementing large-scale HR technical projects including process flow, configuration design and integrations with complex SaaS HR/Payroll Human Capital Management (HCM) solution(s); Prior experience with Ultimate Software/UltiPro configuration/implementations and UltiPro connectors highly desirable.

* Demonstrated functional/technical knowledge of HR applications and databases.

* Experience with standard project management methodologies.

* Superior analytical and technical skills for translating and analyzing business needs into requirements, driving projects and delivering effective, value-added solutions.

* Advanced knowledge of table or business object structures, data relationships, SQL and other data access tools.

* 3-5 years of experience in various reporting tools and techniques for HR, payroll and related data for large, complex organizations utilizing multiple systems and data sources; Working experience creating and enhancing data visualizations, stories and dashboards with Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools. Power BI, Bi/Cognos Analytics experience or certification a plus.

* Ability to plan and execute HR system analysis, applications testing and training.

* Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure and multi-task on multiple competing projects with tight deadlines; self-starter; must take personal initiative and willingly assume responsibility and ownership.
