Process Engineer is responsible for the process design, operation, implementation and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be able to improve processes in order to maintain safety, assure quality, improve efficiency, and reduce cost. This position troubleshoots problems with production and takes corrective action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop, configure and optimize processes from inception through to start up and certification

* Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data

* Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes

* Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output

* Perform process simulations

* Manage cost and time constraints

* Perform risk assessments

* Provide data analysis, process documentation and operating instructions

* Specify equipment and tooling needed

* Support project management requirements

* Track process Key Performance Indicators

* Works closely with development team and other engineers on various projects

* Assists in the training and certification of operators.

* Initiate short-term and long-term solutions to meet the business needs

REQUIREMENTS

* Strong leadership, relationship management, and organizational planning and project management skills, in addition to technical knowledge;

* Ability to influence clients, suppliers and peers into adopting "best practices" in the engineering field;

* Technical writing skills

* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma. Training in Six Sigma (e.g., Green or Black Belt) strongly preferred.

* BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related fields
