In your role, you will:

Full Implementation and continued oversight of the FAA Voluntary Safety Management System (SMS) for both WVAC and TAC. Duties include revising applicable manuals, auditing, recording and generating monthly and annual reports.

* Adhere to General Work Requirements

* Perform all reviews of processes and procedures to verify SMS compliance.

* Perform technical review of SMS guidance

* Participating as trainer for SMS compliance for working groups.

* Perform typing revisions to SMS guidance and RSM / Training Manuals

* Perform traveling to TAC and Montreal for Internal SMS work.

* Review SMS Requirements and interpret the intent as well as the compliance requirements.

* Interface the Bombardier Commercial Aircraft SMS to the Customers SMS to any gains for overlapping procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

* You hold a minimum of three SMS formal training courses for certification and Expert for RMS – Risk Management System verification of process control.

* You hold a FAA A&P certificate

* You have a minimum of 5 plus years of Aviation Experience, 3 years of Quality Control / Quality Assurance Experience.

* You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas and governmental agencies

* Must be able to discuss specifics of the SMS system with customers and the FAA. Must be comfortable in verbal communication.

* You have verbal and written communication skills

* You have planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments

* Must be proficient at Microsoft, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

* Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 145, 121 and SMS guidance.
