POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities include; ability to execute all duties performed by Housekeeper I position to include patient room and office cleaning, critical area cleaning to include operation rooms, etc., discharge patient room cleaning, - Floor maintenance duties, transport and removal of all types of waste to include recycling material, general trash, medical waste, chemo. waste, P-waste, etc., perform minor furniture moves, exchange and launder cubicle curtains, provide supplies for department employees, other departments and patients, and any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent or willing to earn a High school diploma or GED within one year from the date of hire.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience operating power cleaning equipment preferred
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED: Should be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
physical REQUIREMENTS: Extensive walking, pushing, pulling and lifting heavy objects up to 75 lbs. Climbing ladders and operating powered cleaning equipment. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching overhead, wiping surfaces from floor level to overhead, pushing mops, brooms and wheeled carts, grasping, kneeling, working with and around cleaning chemicals, solvents and scents.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Mostly indoor and exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals and often requires outdoor exposure to the elements.
