* You will be responsible for managing standard quality assurance procedures and processes supporting all Nuclear Engineering and Planninf Department divisions consisting of employees in various professional, technical and administrative positions.

* You will maintain various databases and electronic systems used to capture, analyze and consolidate qualitative and quantitative performance data.

* You will identify and gather data from various areas of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program

* You will prepare and conduct reviews and report results from investigations of areas assigned.

* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.

* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.


Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting quality assurance (QA) audits or surveillance and analyzing the results in support of the refueling and defueling processes of nuclear ships or submarines to identify operational or procedural deficiencies and recommend corrective action to ensure the procedures meet quality and certification requirements. Examples of Qualifying experience may include: analyzing work operations; identifying flaws or discrepancies; using appropriate manuals, technical documents or standards to ensure conformance or compliance; and developing surveillance inspection and audit plans. Such duties are performed in support of lifting and handling systems and equipment.
