Position Summary:

This position primarily is to bridge the gap between Business and Information Tech. This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining and improving the various business practices, especially with regards to the company's ERP system. They will act first-hand as an internal consultant providing technical guidance and business process expertise to realize industry best practices. Will be required to learn business processes, research and suggest improvements. Heavy communication with department leads and IT/development. Assist in defining, testing and maintaining developed solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Interact with members of the IT and Analysis teams, on key areas in the organization for improvements to current business processes.

* Document end user request and projects with details such as priorities, time sensitivity, and cost.

* Learn overall business operation and help develop innovative solutions to improve productivity, while incorporating better use of business critical applications.

* Assist key users in testing new functionality, documenting and retaining knowledge using business critical applications

* Recommend systems or process changes to IT and Analysis teams, with proper documentation for support, cost, and business impact.

* Test various changes to business critical applications made by development tea, members, and provide analytical feedback on success and failure.

* Research common business practices throughout the community, using various forums and technical references, to draft possible improvements to current systems and processes.

* Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

* 2-3 years in an Analyst role, or similar IT deliverable role to end users

* Experience with role using ERP systems required (Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus)

* Background knowledge with other business critical applications, such as CRM, and project lifecycle software preferred, but not required.

* Solid experience in critical thinking, data analysis, and drawing business-relevant conclusions

* Experience with handling project management tasks, change request software, and collaborative development tools with ideas centered around project life cycles.

* Be able to handle multiple projects of different priorities, including end user and IT department requests.

* Be able to use collaborative software for change requests, project management, project life cycle documentation.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors, non-engineers and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Maintains a valid Driver's License.

Mental: Must be able to effectively communicate with others; complete and understand complex analysis of computer/phone system issues and business related issues with IT ;research, read, analyze and interpret written materials; meet and exceed company standards; ensure compliance with company policies; respond appropriately to feedback to make improvements; maintain positive working relationships; troubleshoot and solve problems.

Physical: Must be able to use computer equipment, exerting up to 40 lbs of force occasionally and or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects, kneel, reach, push, pull and lift for sustained periods of time. Must be able to stand, walk sit and type of long periods of time.

Exposure to moderate noise level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge of IT, modern business communication, office procedures and methods. Must be able to work with other departments and AMT employees. Must also be able to work with clients, vendors and 3rd party suppliers. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.

Equipment Used: Telephone, computer, other office equipment as needed.
