JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

The Analyst, Healthcare SOX Compliance & Audit is responsible for gathering and evaluating data for all activities related to BMG's compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act. The position will be responsible for testing internal controls for the purposes of identifying process deficiencies and working with the manager of Healthcare SOX Compliance & Audit for developing remediation strategies. The position requires the ability to gather data from a variety of sources, audit and evaluate results, and to report on findings. The role will serve as liaison between BMG and both internal as well as external audit. In addition, the analyst will partner with process owners throughout both BMG & Health Plan Pricing in order to become familiarized with the business activities driving potential audit deficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Gather and audit health plan pricing data in order to identify census or pricing discrepancies

* Understand the new business pricing process

* Research audit findings and evaluate business activities driving the problem

* Report on findings to management

* Partner with Internal Audit and third-party consultants.

* Test internal controls for deficiencies

* Provide audit deliverables to external audit

* Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements where necessary

* Develop and maintain tools on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and other internal tools.

* Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education: BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university

Experience: 1-3 years of progressive work experience in accounting, internal audit, SOX compliance, or business analytics

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Must be detail oriented, highly organized and have experience evaluating data

* Ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects

* General knowledge of Microsoft based applications and databases such as PeopleSoft, MS Office, Excel, etc. and Vizio.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Effective time management and organizational skills

* Ability to create and comprehend reports, spreadsheets and presentations

* Ability to maintain effectiveness and professionalism when experiencing change in work tasks and/or the work environment

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and under deadline pressure

* Basic understanding of SOX regulations

WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)

* 10% travel may be required
