QA Analyst - SQL %26 UNIX

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will design, install and evaluate quality control methods and systems. Design continuing maintenance of product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A of 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

The EPM team in OFSS is responsible to create and deliver financial products of high quality to serve the Banking and Financial industries. These products along with ERM and Regulatory related packs are able to seamlessly integrate and deliver a great value proposition to the customers in Financial Domain. These applications are now being developed in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, offering to enable customers an easy transition to a subscription-based model.

As a key member of this team, you will help design, build, validate, and deliver the next generation of these vital business solutions for Oracle Financial Services.

Your Qualifications

BE, or equivalent.

Experience Level: 2 – 5 yrs.

Proficient in SQL and UNIX.

Experience with ETL/DB testing.

Exposure to CI/CD tools and processes.

Scripting experience (JAVA, PL/SQL, Python, or similar).

Exposure to API testing.

Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Ability to quickly learn and develop proficiency in new technologies in a dynamic environment.

Our Ideal Candidate

The Candidate should preferably be from a banking domain.

She/he should have been working in a Product based company.

Should have worked in at least 2 projects which involve the entire Testing Life Cycle

(Understanding of requirements, test setup preparation, test case development, data creation, product installation, functional execution, validation/debugging, automation of regression test cases).

Your Responsibilities

As an integral part of the EPM team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Understanding the Software Requirements specification document
  • Working closely with Product Management group in preparing/validating functional scenarios and test data
  • Creating test cases and automating using CI/CD
  • Preparing test environment and performing test case execution
  • Analyzing test results and reporting defects
  • Maintaining/updating regression test suite for upcoming releases
