POSITION PROFILE

Technical professional who participates in design, test, development, and/or support of Ricoh Software Products and/or Systems. Develops new, modifies and improves, or supports existing software products and solutions. Work is usually part of a larger project. Works under the normal supervision of management, and under the general guidance of more senior professionals.

A person in this role is responsible for the successful configuration and delivery of workflow solutions (using Ricoh ProcessDirector) within our customer's environments. These workflow solutions consist of a series of detailed, automated steps that a document or job will move through during the manufacturing process.

Workflow Implementation Specialists will be experts in the use of Ricoh ProcessDirector and will become trusted workflow advisors to our customers. You will both create new and also modify already delivered solutions to meet the needs of the customer. The scope of implementation activities includes: server setup, workflow configurations, scripting, printing, postal configuration, problem solving, training customers, and leading small teams. You will be required to interface and coordinate with sales, project managers and architects on customer projects.

This position is in a co-located team environment using agile methodologies. Software Solutions Engineers will travel to customer locations. The goal of a SW Solutions Engineer is to maximize the customers' acceptance and use of Ricoh ProcessDirector as their workflow solution.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Performs basic software activities related to the development of a software product or solution.

* Determines and examines software alternatives. Recommends and implements basic software solutions.

* Works on software development projects, with guidance. Sometimes coordinates activities of team members.

* Contributes to project planning in the team or local unit.

* Recommends solutions to problems/issues that impact the team.

* Accountable for completion of technical objectives on schedule and within cost and quality objectives. Failure to accomplish may require additional resources to correct.

* Intra-organizational and external customer liaison on routine matters

* Understands and follows existing development processes.

* Positively and actively supports changing business needs.

* Documents own work.

* Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

* Has a basic professional theoretical and conceptual knowledge in a specific field of software development, typically acquired via a bachelor's degree or professional experience.

* Bachelor's degree

* Comfortable in front of customers to deliver training and onsite delivery of services and solutions

* Experience with Linux and Windows

* Passion for learning and the ability to quickly pick up on new concepts

* Technical troubleshooting skills to solve or assist in solving problems

* Effective communication

* Availability to travel to customer locations within the United States
