Quality Assurance Technician Basic Qualifications:

* Interest in learning new skills and keeping pace with changing technologies

* Ability to problem solve and work with others to find the best solution

* Precision in your work and attention to all details

* On-point, genuine interpersonal and written communication skills

* Capability to work independently and self-motivate

* A passion for craftsmanship

Primary Responsibility:

* Under direct supervision, perform a variety of measurements to ensure conformance to customer requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

* Measurements of transmission, reflection, absorption, and laser damage threshold using a variety of laser instruments.

* Measurements of surface figure, wavefront error, and radius of curvature using ZYGO interferometers.

* Read and follow prints and process sheets.

* Maintain and troubleshoot metrology equipment.

Required Qualifications:

* College level math or physics background, or minimum two years optical metrology experience.

* Familiarity with optical and laser-based testing.

* Fine motor skills: Able to pick up and handle small optics with tweezers.

* Basic computer skills: Email, text documents, spreadsheets.

* Flexible schedule, able to work various shifts, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

* Three to five years of experience in optics or a similar field.
