Marketing Research Analyst III

This position is an independent contributor, hands-onposition in the marketing department, reporting to SVP Advertising & BrandManagement. This role will be responsiblefor managing and executing the marketing research & analysis agenda, toelevate and optimize our marketing communications. This role will work withvarious marketing and business partners to identify their needs, then find, organizeand analyze data to provide actionable recommendations. Majority of the work will be hands on datagathering, analysis, research design and reporting, supplemented with agencyand research vendor partners for specialized needs.

Responsibilities &Expectations

* Overall: Mange and execute marketing learningagenda.

* Campaign Measurement & Attribution:

o Develop, document, implement, and managestreamlined process for measuring & optimizing campaign performance.

o Work with agency partner to identify new ways tomeasure and optimize campaign performance e.g., marketing attribution models.

* Market Research:

o Provide consumer insight and actionableinformation to enhance marketing decisions.

o Work with marketing partners to identifybusiness needs and translate into research objectives. Recommend and implement appropriate researchsolutions-including vendor selection- to meet these business needs.

* Analysis:

o Mine business, customer and research data toprovide product and customer insight and campaign ROI.

o Design, execute and document analysis forrepeatable, sustainable usage.

o Find, cleanse, qualify and organize data fromvarious sources. Construct and manipulate large datasets to support analysesusing a variety of analytics and visualization tools.

* Interpersonal:

o Effectively communicate findings in reports,power point presentations and other media.

o Provide an informed and objective perspective;be seen as a trusted, authoritative subject matter expert.

o Develop strong working relationships withmarketing, technology, finance and business partners.


* Bachelors degree in quantitative field (Math,Statistics, Economics, Computer Science), or Business Admin with a quantitativemajor.

* 4-6 years experience in market research & analysisin roles with hand on experience, and support of marketing or businesspartners.

* Robust financial services experience required.

* Sound mixof marketing research, analytics, project management and business acumen.


* Exceptional analytical, critical thinking andproblem-solving skills including demonstrated:

o Experience translating business needs intoresearch strategies.

o Ability to turn insights into data-basedrecommendations that solve business needs.

o Able to formulate business hypothesis then testand refine based on findings.

* Proven ability to work independently and deliverresults; strong organizational and time-management skills, including:

o Strong project leadership, management andforward-planning.

o Highly detail and process oriented.

* Excellent written, oral and presentation skills,including ability to communicate influence and reason effectively with agency, businessand technology partners.

* Strong hands on experience of B2C marketingcampaign measurement, including marketing attribution and marketing mix models.

* Demonstrated financial services market researchexperience including:

o Broad experience in brand, advertising, digitaland direct qualitative and quantitative methodologies and techniques.

o Solid knowledge of data collection methods andvendors (polls, focus groups, surveys, online bulletin boards).

o Hands on experience in sourcing and managingvendors to deliver business needs.

o Proficient marketing research projectmanagement, including hands-on data analysis, interpretation, survey design,implementation and ability to identify key learnings.

* Strong technical proficiency including:

o Demonstrated ability to find, qualify, cleanseand blend data from various sources.

o Abilityto creatively assess and leverage available data sources to infer and toindirectly correlate relevant findings.

o Fluency in SQL or similar relational databasetools for large dataset extraction and manipulation.

o Proficiency with SAS, R, Python or otherprograming languages; data visualization tools such as tableau, and advancedexcel tools such as pivot tables.

o Demonstrated experience in Google Analytics andwebsite tagging.
