Additional Locations:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee ICLE’s operational processes, and ensure superb customer experience. The COO will partner with HMH operation leaders to optimize ICLE’s operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximize customer satisfaction and collaborate with product management and marketing teams to maximize ICLE growth. The COO will assist in compiling ICLE’s budget, and employ strategies to maximize ICLE’s profit. The COO will compile financial reports monthly and participate as a member of the ICLE leadership team to implement business strategies.

Responsiblities:

Design and Implement business strategies, plans and procedures:

  • Partner with ICLE Leadership team to build a consultative business
  • Assist with designing component costs for services to be sold
  • Design cost efficient practices to improve profitability of ICLE
  • Monitor implementation plans and practices to optimize customer success and efficiency
  • Participate in the design of expansion activities

Oversee daily operations and partner with HMH matrixed division ICLE team

  • Monitor assignment, scheduling and performance of ICLE consultants
  • Collaborate with product management to expand ICLE business
  • Partner with the marketing team to expand business, conduct market research, expand attendance of Model Schools Conference and Leadership Academy
  • Collaborate with the publications team to grow this aspect of the business
  • Establish policies for onboarding and mentoring the consultant team
  • Monitor bookings, billings and budget to meet annual targets
  • Collaborate with the content development team to insure resources built to address market and customer needs
  • Monitor investments and development of ICLE platform

Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics

  • Monitor performance of consultant by analyzing customer feedback, retention or expansion of contracts
  • Prepare monthly performance report of ICLE pipeline, Partners and Senior Fellows sales, DPL renewals
  • Manage EBIDTA target and prepare a monthly status report for the leadership team
  • Monitor Capex budget to maximize resource development

Lead employees to encourage maximum performance for customer success

  • Engage employees in the various work streams to encourage shared responsibility and ownership of ICLE’s vision, mission and goals
  • Support the culture of ICLE with a commitment to the vision, mission and annual goals

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Master of Education, or MBA
  • Five years experience managing a complex enterprise’s human resources, finances, operations and strategies
  • Proven track record of outstanding performances in a previous complex enterprise
  • Proven track record of managing complex consultative solutions for customers
  • Demonstrated experience of ethical leadership
  • Outstnding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
  • Ability to make business projections three years into the future
  • Professional, cross-team oriented attitude
  • Spearheading strategies to steer the company’s future in a positive direction
  • Driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals.
  • Controlling costs, and introducing initiatives to improve profitability
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Preparing timely and accurate financial performance monthly reports
  • Collaborating on marketing initiatives and implementing better business practices
  • Delegating responsibilities to ensure staff members grow as capable participants
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills

  • Travel 30%

Physical Requirements:

  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings
