Taos (www.taos.com) is immediately hiring a Transitions Engineer to join our growing and outstanding engineering team in Boise, Idaho! This is a full-time permanent position with Taos offering a competitive salary and full benefits package!

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating both internally and with customers, reading situations and dynamics of a conversation and client environment and navigate well politically

  • Providing detail-oriented management at multiple levels – from transition and technical staff to client/account executives (C-level experience/interaction a plus)

  • Presenting a polished and personable demeanor – this may be the client’s first experience with managed services and sometime Taos, so a good first impression and relationship are critical

  • Juggling challenging requirements, timelines and competing priorities while maintaining a calm and confident presence

  • Building and sustaining remote relationships with client and/or transition/support staff

  • Travelling to client sites across various regions as needed – expect at least monthly travel but could vary depending on account assignments (up to 25%)

 

 

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Experience with various environments enabling smooth integration with Taos tools and processes – ticketing system data models and use cases for systems such as ServiceNow, Salesforce.com, Jira, etc. a plus

  • Knowledge and experience working with a wide variety of infrastructure technologies including networks, servers & OS, security, telecommunications, storage & backups, and virtualization

  • Knowledge and experience working with Windows/Mac platforms, Active Directory, Email, and desktop productivity applications 

  • Excellent business and technical acumen

  • Experience working in or with a managed services organization (cloud services, network operations center and/or service desk)

  • Excellent documentation/technical writing skills – documenting/ticketing a support process (steps and escalation paths) very helpful

  • Organization, multi-tasking and ability to prioritize work are key

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Solid troubleshooting capabilities related to business and technical process issues

  • Ability to effectively translate client needs into business requirements/solutions/SOPs

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Providing high quality customer service while understanding limitations of services being designed and subscribed to

  • Strong attention to detail

  • ITIL experience/certification a plus
