The IDOL Accounting Bureau has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Financial Specialist, Principal to join us in the Central office (Boise). The bureau has 29 employees, and this position will be part of the bureau management team, which consists of the Financial Executive Officer and 2 Financial Specialist, Principals. This position will be responsible for budget and financial reporting, accounts payable, cash management and procurement. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, an analytical approach to problem solving and good time management skills. Job Responsibilities

* Oversee the operation of multiple accounting units

* Analyze accounting systems and processes, maintain workflow documentation and coordinate with Bureau Management Team to implement approved system enhancements

* Provide technical guidance and assistance to management, staff and external customers

* Establish, document and maintain internal controls

* Compile data and prepare financial reports

Minimum Qualifications

* Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices

* Good knowledge of supervisory practices

* Experience using personal computers to develop, analyze and report on financial data

* Experience monitoring/reviewing internal financial controls

* Experience resolving technical accounting, auditing, or budgeting problems

* Experience preparing financial documents for management review

* Experience analyzing financial activities and recommending or implementing management actions

Additional Qualification

Applicants will receive additional points if they meet the following criteria:

* Certified Public Accountant or Certified Government Financial Manager license
