Your day

As a Training Center Coordinator, you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:

* Oversee the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) programs at St. Vincent Healthcare, building relationships for strengthening emergency cardiovascular care education in the community. Additional course coordination roles include Trauma Nurse Core Course and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, and others as may be assigned.

* Manages the Emergency Cardiac Education (BLS, ACLS, and PALS) in accordance with the American Heart Association (AHA)'s guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

* Completes all required AHA reports and documentation

* Responsible for Training Site reviews and ongoing course and instructor monitoring.

* Maintains departmental Quality Assurance Program.

* Responsible for the scheduling of courses, registration of course participants and instructors, coordination of room reservations, AV needs and catering, rosters, evaluations, cards and certifications and summaries

* Monitors and assures that all courses taught follow AHA guidelines and department policies and procedures.

* Coaches and counsels secondary instructors when necessary

* Collaborates with ACLS and PALS Program Coordinators to ensure quality courses that follow AHA guidelines and department policies and procedures.

* Collaborates with Marketing, Outreach, and Health Access Departments for ongoing promotion of course offerings and assessment of educational needs within surrounding communities.

* Works with Trauma and Outreach Coordinators to coordinate education in rural communities.

Your experience

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

* B.A. or B.S. degree in business or health related field; OR minimum of three years' work experience in business or health-related field

* Must possess BLS Provider and BLS Instructor status or successfully complete within 90 days from the first date of employment in the position.

* Must possess the volunteer position of BLS Regional Faculty status; or obtain within two years from the first date of employment in the position

* Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning concepts and ability to teach and evaluate program effectiveness using those concepts
