The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Job Description:

* Ensure compliance with 49CFR195 & T.A.C. regarding cathodic protection.

* Create work scopes and bid documents for corrosion mitigation projects.

* Raise AFEs to attain funding for corrosion mitigation projects.

* Interface with regulators and be able to answer questions regarding our corrosion mitigation program.

* Monitor CP rectifiers and/or bonds and verify adequate current & voltage

* Perform annual CP survey on assigned systems

* Perform maintenance on CP equipment such as test leads, replace rectifier parts, etc.

* Perform maintenance on personal equipment such as half cells, wire spools, etc.

* Provide integrity engineer corrosion mitigation information.

* Field troubleshoot CP problems such as low voltage, rectifier malfunctions, etc.

* Recommend preventative and mitigative actions for our pipeline and terminal systems.

* Supervise contractor CP activities.

* Review and approve invoices.

* Participate on capital project teams as the corrosion mitigation representative as directed.

* Update peers and upper management on projects associated with the team.

* Provide feedback on new technologies and software as employed in the field.

Required Credentials:

* Passed NACE Basic Corrosion and Cathodic Protection 1 course

* Organized and detail oriented.

* Ability to work with a multi-disciplined team.

Desired Credentials:

* Experience working with large quantities of data and keeping it organized.

* NACE CP I certification with 3-5 years of field experience

* Understanding of damage mechanisms associated with piping and tanks.

* Prior experience working out in the field and an understanding of field activities for oil and gas corrosion mitigation operations.

* Previous experience maintaining cathodic protection systems on pipelines and above-ground storage tanks.

This position is eligible for relocation and will be reporting to the Senior Corrosion. Expected travel is 25% of the time.
