Responsibilities

* Provide advisory sercies to operating and/or management officials.

* Conduct studies inoving healt care organizations, operations and functions of significant complexity with extensively interrrelation programs throughout multi-mission medical treatment facitlites.

* Extract, analyze, summarize, and identify significant trends and issues, regarding health care services.

* Develop, analyze, evaluate, and advise on improving the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, management controls, information systems, and similar functions.

* Lead multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical production, preparing and anlyzing cost and workload data, conducting outcome/efficiency studies, preparing health care buisness plans, and making recommendations to Leadership.

* Attends meetings, conducts conferences and confers with military and civilian officals to discuss problems, make presentations, resolve controversial issues.

* Obtain and consolidate buisness planning and programming information for reference for developing presentations and/or other purposes.

* Develop, monitor, and evaluate business plan for organization.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing and identifying trends/issues with health care services; analyzing a variety of complex health care data to prepare reports and make recommendations to leadership; preparing health care business plans; and preparing briefing and/or presentations to deliver to executive leadership, high ranking officials, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
