Front-End Software Engineer

We are looking for a Front-end Engineer to join the Total Wine & More Digital team. You will design and develop new front-end features for our multi-channel e-commerce solution using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, ReactJS, jQuery and other UI technologies. You will work with an Agile engineering team, business analysts, and product owners to understand functional UI requirements and implement them. In this role, you will work with other developers and UI/UX designers to share coding best practices and UX design specifications, ensuring standardized techniques across the team. You will report to the Manager of Front-End Development.

You will

  • Develop modular and maintainable HTML, CSS, Javascript, and ReactJS for our eCommerce website
  • Daily interaction with the business and other technology teams
  • Translate requirements documents and specifications into technical design and implementation
  • Recommend and implement changes in development, maintenance and system standards
  • Understand and apply industry practices, coding standards, and department policies to work assignments
  • Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements
  • Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software

You will come with

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ experience using HTML 5, CSS 3, ReactJS, JavaScript, consuming JSON web-services and AJAX.
  • Familiarity with JSON and incorporating data objects into templates
  • Experience in using modern, agile tools like Github, Jira, SCRUM
  • Understand from a high level CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working within short development cycles using agile methods
