As a Software Development Engineer you will participate in the design, development, implementation, testing and documentation of distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using Java, Python, and Object Oriented Design. Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture. Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation. Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools. Mentor junior development engineers.

Basic Qualifications

· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

· Bachelor's degree in computer science related fields OR 1+ years equivalent experience in software development

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

· Solid background and knowledge on writing software in an object-oriented language; data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and asynchronous architectures; familiarity with a Unix/Linux development environment; and understanding of system and application performance characteristics.

Preffered Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

· 1+ year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation must involve: writing software in an object-oriented language; data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and asynchronous architectures; familiarity with a Unix/Linux development environment; and understanding of system and application performance characteristics.
