Who We Are

The Pokémon Company International (TPCi), a subsidiary of The Pokémon Company in Japan, manages the property outside of Asia and is responsible for brand management, licensing, marketing, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the animated TV series, home entertainment, and the official Pokémon website. Pokémon was launched in Japan in 1996 and today is one of the most popular children's entertainment properties in the world.

About the Role

The Senior Manager Employee Engagement & Communications develops and promotes The Pokémon Company International's (TPCi) global talent brand and culture of innovation, diversity, inclusion and belonging. This role will build the vision and influence, drive strategy and execution of employee communications, recognition and charitable community engagement across our global team, enabling TPCi to engage and retain top talent and to foster relationships in the local communities. The mission of the role is to ensure that the core elements of TPCi culture are well-defined and ever-present to employees, that engagement is set in a foundation that supports a positive, innovative, collaborative, and high-achieving environment where information is cascaded and consistently communicated to employees.

Some of What You'll Do

* Develop and execute a global HR communications strategy that amplifies TPCi's creative culture and talent brand.

* Partner with HR team members to create the employee value proposition and talent brand narrative and communications strategy.

* Counsel executive leaders on communication approach as related to culture, talent brand and other people related communications.

* Establish consistent cadence of internal messaging about activities, accomplishments and upcoming initiatives, as well as consistent updates of communications priorities which strive to connect, engage, and inform.

* Develop and support a range of internal communications initiatives and events, working in partnership with other internal stakeholders. Maintain communications calendars in coordination with HR team.

* Drive and support internal employee satisfaction through effective and thoughtful communication of the "why" behind company actions.

* Organize and produce employee-focused events including all hands, employee engagement and appreciation, and other events from agenda setting to promotion and execution.

* Create resources to support and strategically align employee volunteerism and a charitable culture.

* Develop a TPCi giving program with charitable contributions, matching gifts, and employee engagement opportunities to partner in the community. Research and identify charitable partnerships. Build relationships to support TPCi's community engagement strategy aligned with parent company TPC, as needed.

* Develop metrics and measurements from engagement and community outreach programs to provide appropriate people analytics intended to understand trends and insights for future program and business activity.

* Partner with management to identify soft skill training needs across the organization; manage external training resources to facilitate training and create in-house programs, as feasible. Create process and metrics for measuring program effectiveness.

* Build internal recognition program, awards structure and corresponding communications strategy aligned with TPCi philosophy and values, and expand as needed.

* Partner with Talent Acquisition to maintain key community partnerships to support workforce equity, diversity, and inclusion in hiring opportunities via community engagement.

* Leverage engagement, management feedback, exit and pulse surveys to analyze & identify talent issues.

* Provide a clear vision of success and encouraging career growth and personal development to members of the team.

What You'll Bring

* Eight or more years relevant experience in human resources, internal communications, and engagement activities.

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, English or related field or equivalent professional experience.

* Demonstrated passion for social innovation and corporate social responsibility efforts; experience with charitable partnership and volunteer programs, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

* Experience managing, coaching and developing a team.
