Job summary

Last Mile Technologies (LMT) is responsible for delivering global solutions that enable us to attract an elastic supply of drivers, companies, and assets needed to deliver Amazon's and other shippers' volumes at the lowest cost and with the best customer delivery experience. Within LMT we are The Emerging Business & Tech (EBT) group that focuses on products and technologies for strategic businesses that are in early stage of development with long term potential to accelerate LMT’s growth. Our mission is to build a best in class Last Mile delivery and service experience by building capabilities that address specific logistical needs of Amazon customers (Retail & Business) & Shippers.

This role is inherently cross-functional—this leader will work closely with engineering, program management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our existing products and features. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently to develop new product vision and expand ongoing initiatives. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

In this role, the candidate, is also expected to coach and mentor Product Managers across the EBT organization and drive business rhythm matters in business reviews and planning representing EBT wide initiatives. A successful candidate will also have an innate ability to connect the dots, look around the corners that are usually not seen to identify and develop new businesses strategies.

Key job responsibilities

  • Look beyond the corners, identify new business opportunities and be the overarching business/product visionary for the Emerging Business & Technology group in Last Mile Technologies org
  • Define creative, high quality, and clear product roadmaps based on customer and stakeholder needs, product strategy, and vision
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements, and user stories to create product specifications and architecture · Manage prioritization and trade-offs among needs of various customer and stakeholder groups.
  • Bring excellence in identifying, coaching and mentoring other product managers on functional and non-functional requirements thinking in security, system performance and scalability.
  • Create buy-in for product vision and roadmap both internally and across key partners outside of LMT
  • Drive business rhythm discussions with senior execs and stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic or product goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience in the product development of mobile applications.

  • Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.

  • Experience in supply chain, operations, logistics, or transportation.
