Facility Maintenance Associate

Under the direction of store management, the responsibilities of the Maintenance person are the proper care and maintenance of all store facilities/buildings, systems and grounds according to company standards. This includes preventative and as needed maintenance of all associated areas, including some minor maintenance per store lease specifications. May include merchandising and customer service as well as any other duties as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Follow pre-determined daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance requests and reports any unfinished work to store and/or property management

* Inspects equipment for proper functioning on a regular basis, troubleshooting basic problems where the repair is visible or obvious.

* Responsible for working with tools, ladders, and maintenance supplies as directed.

* Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots and building facilities including landscaping and snow removal (if required).

* Windows/Doors:

* Wash store windows and keep window sills and door jambs clear in exit/entrance vestibules

* Floors:

* Daily tile floor cleaning (edge mop, gum scraping, spot mopping and other floor care) as required

* Lift and operate tools used daily for cleaning (I.e., floor cleaning machine, brooms, and mops)

* Vacuum mats and rugs as required

* Restrooms/Breakrooms:

* Use approved cleaning and sanitizing chemicals appropriately for all assignments

* Service, clean, and supply restrooms.

* Properly wipe, scrub or spray restroom areas (I.e., walls, fixtures, urinals, toilets, and floors)

* Properly wipe, scrub or spray breakroom areas (I.e., walls, fixtures, refrigerator, microwave, floors)

* Trash:

* Empty all trash and garbage containers throughout the building.

* Supply Closet:

* Maintain mop sink area and supply storage areas in a neat, orderly fashion per planoguide requirements.

* Keep track of cleaning supplies and maintain maintenance cart per planoguide direction.

* Lighting:

* Perform replacement of incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes.

* Plumbing:

* Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, and other as required).

* Carpentry:

* Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (I.e., preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller
