The Louisiana State University School of Theatre invites applications for a one-year, Visiting Assistant Professor of Voice effective August 15, 2018-May 14, 2019. This position teaches coursework in voice and speech in B.A. and M.F.A. text-based acting programs (40%); serves as vocal coach for LSU Theatre and Swine Palace productions (30%); maintains an ongoing presence working at the professional level in regional/national theatre and/or film and television (15%); serves as Associate Head of the MFA Acting program: and participates in departmental activities including committee work, recruitment, and program leadership (15%).

Required qualifications

Master of Fine Arts; previous experience as a vocal coach; acting and directing experience; teaching experience at the university level; certification in Fitzmaurice Voicework.

Preferred qualifications

Familiarity with other voice and speech methodologies such as Rodenburg, Linklater, Lessac, Skinner or Knight-Thompson Speechwork; The ability to teach Acting, Directing, and Movement. Aptitude or experience in administration/program leadership
