Gas Chromatograph Project Manager

A better world begins with you.ABB is seeking a Gas Chromatograph Project Manager, who can perform a variety of activities associated with one or more projects, and assist Project Managers in various aspects of their assignments. Suggest and implement initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and improve performance.


Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience)


Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Review and coordinate flow of information among various groups and customers, and implement measures to resolve problems, ensure meeting schedule commitments and achieve customer satisfaction.

* Review customers' specifications and examine new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to desired contract terms and conditions. Prepare quotations and implement changes, as appropriate. Under general direction, resolve disputes involving back charges, escalation, delays, extras and warranty charges.

* Ability to demonstrate a mixture of business and technical skills to evaluate/translate customer requirements into a viable Upstream Oil and Gas product solution. This includes but is not limited to flow computers, instrumentation and third-party offerings. Exceptional organizational and planning skills to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Basic qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of Project Management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of Project Management experience.

* Working knowledge in Upstream Oil and Gas including experience with natural gas and/or process gas analyzers is required.

* Excellent customer service skills, proficient organizational skills, self-motivated and technical minded.

* Familiarity with flow computers, primary meters, spectrometers and other instrumentation products, especially ABB and/or competitor products.

* Knowledge of chemistry processes involved with gas processing or lab analysis.

* Ability to read drawings, wiring schematics and I/O maps.

* General electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude.

* Experience in an engineered to order environment is a plus.

* Good verbal and written skills to assist with process development and implementation.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

* Experience and SAP is a plus.

* Promote teamwork, positive work environment and can-do attitude within group.

* Promote and follow safe work practices both on-site and in a field environment when required.

* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
