Heavy customer service ability including communication skills and multitasking. Ability to stand for long periods of time; frequent bending and lifting of 25+ pounds. Willing to obtain a food ServSafe Certification and alcohol safety training if needed. Ability to relate well to staff and board members of different races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religions.

* Preferred Education/ Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Experience operating food service for corporate meetings and large-scale events and demonstrated experience providing customer service in a food service establishment

* Computer literate

* Valid Food Safety and Alcohol Safety certifications a plus

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Positive and professional attitude towards all individuals

* Strong problem-solving ability thinking on the spot

* Knowledge of product offerings and company background/ mission

* Compliant with supervisors and other employees

* Flexible with scheduled hours to accommodate meeting/ conference/ and event schedules, which may be outside of normal business hours including early morning, evening, and weekends

* Coordinate with porters and facilities staff when necessary

* Review meeting schedule with supervisor and determine additional supports required

* May fill in for duties of Service Barista if necessary, including using point of sale system and taking payment

* May help supervisor take catering orders and process banquet event orders as needed

* Follow HACCP plan and standard operating procedures

* Setting up café and meeting spaces appropriate setup of supplies and equipment, receiving and unpacking deliveries, stocking food and beverages, creating displays

* Operating and overseeing cafes and meetings and conferences provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and restocked space, heat up and set up food items as needed, brew coffee, serve or bartend as needed

* Breaking down cafes and meetings and conferences breakdown, organizing of product and supplies, significant cleaning, packing

* Maintain public spaces (cleaning, stocking, reporting maintenance/ janitorial issues)

* Keep café and hospitality spaces clean, orderly, and stocked always

* Periodically responsible for counting inventory and ordering supplies/ small wares

* Agency/ Team Cohesion

* Communicate with other team members and management

* Participate in department team meetings

* To maintain continuity, two weeks notice must be given upon resignation.

D. Other duties as assigned

* Participates in the organizations continuing learning on issues of racial equity and equity in general.
