The Project Manager will work cooperatively with the JHM Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Armstrong Institute and provides high-level project management and coordination of project planning and assists in implementation of projects to improve health equity across Johns Hopkins Medicine entities. The position will coordinate internal work of JHM Office of Diversity and Inclusion/Armstrong Institute related to health equity management including assisting with budgeting and financial management and the development, tracking and reporting on strategic goals and objectives. The project manager will serve as the primary liaison with staff across Johns Hopkins Medicine entities leading health equity and support Health Equity patient and community engagement activities. The position will include collaboration with data analytics to facilitate integration of stratification of patient sociodemographic characteristics into data dashboards. The project manager will assist with internal and external dissemination through presentations on the JHM Health Equity strategy. The position will include the development and delivery of cultural competency education needed to support JHM Health Equity Strategy. The project manager will assist with writing and development of peer-reviewed manuscripts on the JHM Health Equity Strategy. In addition he/she will assist in the identification of health equity grant opportunities and serve as a liaison to investigators who could lead this work. When needed the project manager will support the writing of grant proposals related to Health Equity led by the JHM Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

Master's degree required in related field (Public Health, Healthcare Administration, etc.)

Knowledge of health equity, health disparities, project management and strategic planning is required. Knowledge of Quality Management and Planning and Administrative theory is preferred. Knowledge and experience related to project management and implementation of strategic initiatives. Experience with data analytics interpretation.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management and/or project development/management preferably in public health or health equity.

Position requires a high level of organizational skills to manage projects, timetables and implementations; advanced interpersonal skills to direct and coordinate the activities of multiple external departments, to positively communicate and work with professionals at all levels of the organization; analytical ability to develop and interpret data: excellent oral and written communication skills.

Works in normal office environment where there is little discomfort to due to the extremes of heat, dust, noise, temperature and the like
