Construction Outreach and Communications Manager

EBA Engineering has an immediate opening for an outgoing individual with great people skills. The successful candidate MUST be bi-lingual, fluently speaking and writing both English and Spanish. A degree in Communications with several years experience working with social media, community groups, managing public meetings, etc. are all a plus. Responsibilities will include:

* Providing guidance and direction to the MTA's and PLTP's Purple Line communications and construction outreach teams

* Co-Manage and support the ongoing Community Advisory Team (CAT) process through construction; including coordination with CAT facilitators, meeting materials development, staffing resources, CAT follow-up information and correspondence, and update of CAT membership and meeting invitations

* Serve as the lead for all outreach efforts and communications with the Hispanic communities along the project corridor, including developing strategies and overseeing the preparation of outreach materials for Hispanic residents, businesses, organizations and other Hispanic stakeholders

* Review and edit all Spanish presentation materials and provide translation support at public outreach meetings that include Spanish speaking residents and businesses

* Coordinate review and editing of all PLTP construction-related notifications and informational materials and ensure proper distribution to the community

* Coordinate responses to and route to the appropriate staff, project phone and email inquiries

* Attend Construction Activity update meetings

* Participate in regularly scheduled Communications meetings with both Counties, and coordinate directly with County representatives on a variety of topics, as needed

* Coordinate the bi-weekly Public Outreach Meeting Agendas with MTA and PLTP outreach staff

* Coordinate the logistics, staffing, and development of informational materials required for large Public Open House meetings, to be held approximately once per year in each County

* Assist in overseeing the development and updates of materials for the project website and social media, as needed

* Assist with the development, update and implementation of the Public Outreach Communications Plan

* Coordinate the development of presentation materials and staffing for community meetings and various other public meetings, as well as actions or responses required as follow-up to these meetings

* Prepare monthly Public Involvement/Outreach activities report and other outreach related reports, as needed

* Experience with a major capital project would be helpful.

* Individual must be able to legally work in the United States and have reliable transportation.
