Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Works collaboratively with Heart & Vascular schedulers, procedural area managers and charge nurses, providing clinical monitoring to patient scheduling activities. Assures accurate, complete and timely processing of documents.

* Understands UMMS and specific clinical services protocols and communicates to staff and patients

* Oversees scheduling of patient appointments, procedures, and diagnostic tests, when appropriate.

* Answers telephone inquiries, patient inquiries and patient complaints when appropriate.

* Coordinates staff utilization by coordinating with managers and charge nurses when necessary in identifying resources to meet the unit's needs.

* Coordinates patient flow and bed access when necessary

* Assists Managers in implementing and monitoring quality standards.

* Conducts orientation and training of new employees, when appropriate. Actively and continuously works to improve work processes.

What You Need to Be Successful:

Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing with two years of experience

BSN preferred.
