Abrazo Surprise Neighborhood Hospital is the first hospital in Surprise, Arizona. Located at the corner of Loop 303 and Bell Road, Abrazo Surprise Hospital will provide emergency and acute care services in an efficient, convenient location along with close coordination with our other hospitals for patients who may require more complex care.

When the new hospital opens, it will include:

14-bed emergency department open 24/7

Board-certified emergency physicians

One operating room

Eight inpatient rooms

Laboratory services

Diagnostic imaging including x-ray, computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound

Select inpatient procedures

We are seeking exceptional RRT's to join our team at Surprise Campus!!

Provides respiratorytherapy to patients as ordered by physicians.

Works on cases that are more complex.

Trains and Mentors staff.

Performs all types of Respiratory Careincluding diagnostic testing, treadmills, complete PFTs, ABG machinemaintenance, hemodynamics, special procedures and ENGs.

Performs procedures required in the specialtyareas, i.e. ICU, PACU, etc.

Performs assessment and treatment of thenewborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.

Ability to precept students, and orientation.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Must haveunderstanding of the general principles of asepsis and infection controlpractices, including isolation.

Knowledge of volumeventilators and understanding of patient hemodynamics.

Excellent customerservice skills.

Computer skillspreferred.

Minimum Education:

Completionof formal two year respiratory education program

Attainedrequirements for respiratory therapy certification (CRT) and registeredrespiratory therapist (RRT).

Minimum Experience:

2 yearsin Respiratory setting

Preferred Experience:

Acute care and ICU, hemodynamic,PFT, and cardiology experience preferred.

Ability to precept and trainstaff, students, and orientees.

Able to actively take a leadershiprole to meet the needs of the department.

Required Certifications /Licensure:

LicensedRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the State of Arizona

ActiveCPR.

ACLS, PALS and NRP required within 12 months ofemployment
