Job Description:

Full-time, year-round, grant-funded* position to oversee recruiting, evaluating, counseling, training and job attainment assistance for qualified participants in the Panther Youth Partners (PYP) program in Highlands, Hardee, DeSoto, and Okeechobee counties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provides daily management of program including training and supervision of Program Specialists and Case Data Specialist.

* Writes narrative and funding portions of grants along with amendments throughout the year.

* Coordinates with SFSC business office to monitor monthly budgets.

* Complete quarterly performance monitoring of annual project performance measures and deliverables.

* Compiles all required reports to ensure compliance with CareerSource Heartland and CareerSource Florida requirements.

* Ensures PYP participant eligibility.

* Cultivates community partners to establish job shadowing and work experience placements for PYP participants.

* Develops and monitors recruitment programs in schools, churches, and community organizations.

* Coordinates advertising and promotional programs to include brochures, newspapers, radio promotions, and local job fairs.

* Produces the annual handbook and incentive plan for PYP participants.

* Maintains PYP presence for each county in Local Workforce Development Board Region 19.

* Attends assigned meetings and participates in local organizations to gain support and disseminate information regarding the program.

* Coordinates activities with CareerSource Heartland for dual-enrolled clients.

* Coordinates with Career Source Heartland job developers and the SFSC Career Center in placing clients in appropriate work environments.

* Works evenings and weekends as required.

* Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and College institutional effectiveness efforts.

* Acts as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)/responsible person for Title IX and Clery Act compliance. Must participate in all required CSA/responsible person training.

* Acts in accordance with College policies and procedures.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* NOTE: The continuation of position is contingent upon continued grant funding.

Requirements:

Educational: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Business, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Experiential: Case management experience preferred. Experience in student recruitment, counseling, and placement preferred. Experience in coordination of state and Federal grant projects is preferred. Knowledge of WIOA regulations and performance measures is strongly preferred.

Other: Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) communication skills preferred. Reliable transportation for frequent travel within the service area required. Must maintain credentialing guidelines established by Workforce Florida, Inc. and Florida's Department of Economic Opportunity for front-line Career Source Heartland staff providers.
