Rose Senior Living - Avon seeks a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join its team. The Avon, Ohio location consists of 175 units: 72 independent living rental apartment homes, 65 assisted living rental apartment homes and 38 residences for seniors requiring memory care services.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing personal/wellness care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the resident's physical and emotional wellbeing in the community. The Resident Assistant follows the service schedule for each resident.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Assists the resident with personal/wellness care which may include, but is not limited to: dressing, grooming; shampooing hair; bathing using tub or shower; bed bath; sponge bath; rubbing with lotions; nail care; foot care; toileting, oral care, and other cares as assigned in the service plan or delegated.

* Assists resident with eating, drinking, walking and transferrin

* Observes patient and reports changes in physical, cognitive and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.

* Applies or assists in the use of adaptive equipment which may include but not limited to: hearing aids, glasses, dentures and braces.

* Actively Lead and/or participate in life enrichment activities as scheduled and assigned.

* Support Environmental Services as requested and assigned.

* Participate in meal preparation and service.

* Other duties as assigned.


Resident Assistant

Minimum Required Qualifications:

* 17 years of age or older

* Current valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance (if applicable)

* Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written

* Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

* High school diploma, GED or Higher

* Previous experience with working with seniors

* Licensure/Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant CNA and/or Home Health Aide
