Technical Support Engineer

SonarSource Services is looking for engineers eager to help developers around the world to write better quality code. On a daily basis the team helps our community users and our customers use and integrate SonarQube, SonarLint and SonarCloud in their DevOps toolchain. We are building a new team in our recently announced US HQ in Austin, Texas. Come and help write this team's story with support from the team in Switzerland.

The impact you can have
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be the main technical point of contact for our customers. With your strong technical background and problem-solving skills, you will be an advocate of code quality, development best practices, and helping customers use our products in their environment. You will collaborate with Product and Development teams to keep our products accurate, easy to use, and easy to integrate with cutting-edge development tools.

On a daily basis, you will
Help customers integrate our solutions from the developer environment through their Continuous Integration toolchain. Both from a software lifecycle perspective (SCM, build, test) and from a business application perspective (authentication, database etc.)Drive technical issues to resolution: from qualifying the issue, to reproducing it and conducting an in-depth technical investigation (being in touch with the customer and managing his expectations all along the way)Collaborate with SonarSource Sales and Consulting teams to support the adoption and deployment of SonarSource solutionsBring together customers feedback and have an impact on the evolution of our productsHave a voice in enhancing the way we work

The skills you will demonstrate
Software engineering experience including basics in development and familiar with continuous integration principlesExperience with common software engineering tools: SCM (e.g. Git, SVN), IDE (e.g. Visual Studio, IntelliJ), CI (e.g. Jenkins Pipelines, Azure Devops). More than acronyms, these are the tools that our customers use and that our products integrate with.Experience with deploying and troubleshooting tools in an Enterprise environment (network, database, authentication, monitoring ...)Investigation skills to understand problems in their context and to ability to reproduce themTeam player, receiving and giving feedback as well as sharing knowledgeCan-do attitude: challenging status-quo, leading and contributing to key improvements and innovations
