About the role

We are looking to hire our first Reservation Sales Agent to help close direct bookings while delivering an exceptional guest experience. We’re looking for agents with incredible attention to detail, customer focus, and an intuitive sales mindset. As a member of our Revenue team who works closely with our Guest Experience function, you’ll be primarily responding to and closing reservation requests on various internal and external communication channels. This is a remote yet highly interactive role with strong headroom for growth as we scale the company.

What you'll do

  • Help drive revenue by quickly handling reservation requests over phone and email
  • Maintain our industry leading satisfaction rate with our guests
  • Funnel business and corporate inquiries to our sales team
  • Work with sales and revenue to quote and close weekly and monthly stays
  • Learn the Locale platform inside and out to maximize efficiency
  • Process payments and send confirmation details and invoices to guests
  • Review and validate reservations prior to arrival and communicate guest requests to GX team
  • Upsell when appropriate to increase ancillary revenue
  • Input reservation and guest details into the PMS
  • Own a critical piece of the feedback loop to improve our reservations SOPs, providing insight for the GX team and operations
  • Have the ability to grow, develop and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with third party systems (e.g. Expedia) to aid our customers with a goal to convert guests into direct bookings for future stays

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel reservations or sales
  • Ability to work on evenings and weekends as needed
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience collaborating within teams
  • Strong background in customer support via email and phone
  • A people person; positive, proactive and cool under pressure
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems
  • Desire for ownership and growth in the role over time
