JOB SUMMARY

Analyze customer financial needs and pair customers with appropriate financial products by phone, written correspondence and calls. Through an interactive, consultative, interview process, deepens relationships by providing financial direction to assist members in meeting their goals with the appropriate products and/or services. Perform analysis on all income, assets, investments and debt to match with financial products that best meet member needs and financial circumstances. Advise member regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different financial products. Answer questions or resolve complex technical problems on member accounts. Financial activities and make recommendations that fit financial security. Location: 201 W 7th St Austin, TX 78701 M-F 8:00-6:30pm Sat. 9:30-2:30pm

Essential Function Description

Service Analysis:

* Collect and analyze customer financial needs and pair customers with appropriate financial products by phone, written correspondence and calls.

* Use clear and simple language to explain complex concepts to others when providing specific recommendations, suited appropriately based on member's financial position.

* Perform analysis on all income, assets, investments and debt to match with financial products that best meet member needs and financial circumstances.

* Advise member regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different financial products. Answer questions or resolve complex technical problems on member accounts.

* Financial activities and make recommendations that fit financial security. Determine strategies for meeting member needs and work collaboratively with fulfill and uncover additional needs.

* Prepares appropriate documented assessment and opens accounts following UFCU policy and Federal regulations. Greet members and instruct members on use of kiosks.

* Provide information and referrals to customers seeking other services; including but not limited to, trust and mortgage.

* Demonstrate leadership skills by supporting UFCU's strategic objectives.

* Participate as a team player in an effort to assist in the planning and implementation of branch promotion campaigns and goals.

* Maintain high level of product knowledge by learning new selling techniques, new products and market trends.

* Grows UFCU knowledge and develop professionally on a continuing basis through various internal and external training resources.

System and Documentation:

* Open all types of accounts including but not limited to: checking, savings, certificates of deposits, and IRAs.

* Accept consumer loan applications and review for completeness.

* Maintain accurate records of all sales production and prepare a weekly report; including number of new accounts sold both core and support, dollar amount deposited, type of funds deposited, and cross sell ratio. Performs other duties as assigned.

* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

* Maintain strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and internal controls specific to your role.

Business Development:

* Complete understanding and adherence to the prescribed sales process to meet or exceed goals.

* Identify, internally and externally, potential business partnerships.

* Regularly schedule and attend community events that support UFCU values, service, and culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Experience

* Minimum two (2) years of service experience.

* Minimum two (2) years with demonstrated success selling products within a retail banking environment or financial services industry preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, etc.

* Series 6, 63, and/or Texas Life and Health Insurance licenses preferred.

* Consumer lending experience preferred.

* Registered NMLS preferred.

* Investment license preferred.

* Expert knowledge of current local, state and federal regulations required.

* Demonstrated excellence in providing superb customer service required.

* Proficiency with data processing/computer application skills in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel required.

* Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) required.

* Must be bondable.
