Job Overview:

As a Selling Floor Support Manager, you will support My Macy's by managing all selling support functions such as fitting room recovery, selling floor recovery, replenishment floor programs and clearance maintenance and sizing. All activities related to presenting a clean, neat, safe and organized shopping environment for our customers are under your direction. With training, coaching and development, a team of associates will grow following your leadership.

Essential Functions:

Sales

* Drive and exceed sales goals by developing & executing recovery strategies in partnership with Selling Managers to expedite the return of desirable merchandise from fitting rooms, wrapstands, price checkers and stockrooms.

* Review and utilize reports; implement action plans focusing on deficient areas and allocate resources as needed.

* Partner with Merchandising and Visual team to maintain merchandise presentations standards and key directives.

* Strengthen attendance and weekend hours compliance among staff.

* Establish high level of shortage and safety awareness and effectiveness; ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented.

Customer

* Maintain high customer readiness standards; deliver a clean, neat and easy to shop store environment.

* Monitor Fitting Room Environment in partnership with Sales Manager ensuring merchandise is removed quickly, sorted and returned to the selling floor.

* Coach, motivate and develop support team to reach their fullest potential and to increase productivity and efficiency.

* Role Model exemplary service, lead support staff to provide an outstanding shopping experience.

* Maintain high customer readiness standards; deliver a clean, neat and easy to shop store environment.

People

* Engage in Macy's recognition program; reward Associates with recognition cards and Magic Maker Story submissions.

* Recruit, select and train talented, results-oriented support Associates

* Create a positive, inclusive work environment focusing on internal and external customer service and safety

* Address Associate concerns in a reasonable and fair manner consistent with the values expected by the Company

* Monitor and address performance issues on a timely basis; administer Responsibility Based Performance as needed

* Utilize review process as a tool for Associate talent development, promotion and advancement

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

* A minimum of 1-3 years in a leadership/supervisory position in a service-driven environment

Communication Skills:

* Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
