Unit Description

Sodexo's 1883 Provision Co. is seeking a highly motivated Food Service Manager 2/Athletic Dining Manager to oversee the operation of the Texas Athletics Nutrition Center, located at the University of Texas in Austin.

The University of Texas, home of the Texas Longhorns, was founded in 1883 and is located in the heart of downtown Austin. UT proudly supports more than 500 student-athletes in a successful and broad-based NCAA Division I intercollegiate program. The Texas Athletic Nutrition Center (TANC) at UT serves these student athletes as well as athletics faculty and staff in a new, state of the art dining facility that opened in the fall of 2015.

The successful Food Service Manager 2/Athletic Dining Manager will have prior experience managing high volume/large scale college or university dining operations encompassing resident dining programs with a focus on health and nutrition. This position will report directly to the Texas Athletic Nutrition Center Operations Manager and is responsible for the execution of the day to day food service operation for the TANC as well as VIP Game Day catering operations.

* manage daily operation and deliver high quality food service;

* manage and develop a talented and diverse team of employees;

* interact with student athletes, coaches and dietitians;

* work closely with the Chef and the University Athletic Department to maintain client satisfaction.

Your Skills Checklist for this Position:

Detailed knowledge of HACCP and Depart of Health Regulations / Servsafe Certified

Experience managing & training hourly employees / Strong leadership skills

Understanding of inventory, food cost and labor management

Computer skills; Microsoft & food management systems

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.Key Duties- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory - Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
