TetraTech AEG is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to fix, repair, andinstall new and existing gas systems.

Our O&MNorth project sites offers a unique work environment that specializes in a widevariety of project sites where we are conducting specialized testing, monitoring,and performing maintenance activities at our facilities. Your role will beassisting other experienced team members to conduct:

* Operation and maintenance activities on landfillgas (LFG) and landfill liquids collection systems

* Perform landfill gas control and collection systemconstruction, repairs and expansions

* Perform well raising, HDPE welding, pipeline work

* Heavy equipment operation, forklifts, excavators,haul trucks, etc.

* Working in and around heavy equipment in or neartrenches

* Working with pressurized air and liquid lines

* Assist construction managers with the procurementof materials, equipment, and supplies for projects

* Perform maintenance on system components to ensureor restore proper operation and compliance

* Critical thinking and problem solving of complexfield issues

* Environmental data collection and interpretationand general office assistance such as filling out paperwork and submittingreports

* Emergency and Urgent response repairs

Required Abilities:

* Respond to LFG and landfill liquidcollection systems call-out devices 24-hours per day, 7 days per week. Ourdivision guarantees our clients a timely response to system failure within amaximum 12-hour time period

* Travel for extended periods, ifnecessary –including overnight stays. Itis anticipated this role will be primarily located at our project site. This estimate may change based on clientneeds

* Work effectively and efficiently asboth a team and solely

* Walk long distances, up and downsteeply sloped landfills and outdoor terrain

* Work in extreme (hot and cold) weatherconditions safely

* Lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a non-consistent basis

* Pass a company paid, baseline healthphysical and drug screening, as required

* Complete the USEPA HAZWOPR, 40-hour,environmental health and safety class, and annual 8-hour refresher classes

* Ability to troubleshoot mechanical andelectrical system failures

* Provide an aggressive and proactiveapproach to client needs and urgent issues that arise

* Ability to obtain, and keep in good standing, a valid driver'slicense and ability to drive to job sites

* Must be available to work overtime,nights, weekends, on-call, and holidays if necessary

Skills and Technical Aptitude:

* Minimum High School Diploma and 1 yearof general working experience,

* Preferred A.S. or B.S Degree inenvironmental, or other natural science (geology, biology, ecology etc.),

* Ability to learn and work with complexfield monitoring equipment including: flame-ionization detectors,photo-ionization detectors, explosive gas detectors, water level detectorsPH/temperature/conductivity meters, and other typical environmental monitoringequipment

* Some heavy equipment operation, HDPE pipefusion experience a plus.

* Ability to learn general gas, soil, andair sampling techniques including applicable environmental and health &safety regulations and regulatory requirements

* Ability to be familiar with operationsand maintenance techniques for landfill gas and landfill fluids collectionsystems

* Ability to be familiar with landfillgas data, data processing techniques and databases

* Basic PC use, Microsoft Office suite ofproducts (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

* Ability to build and retain mutualrelationships with clients

As an EFT you will have access to aCompany provided laptop and cellphone, and access to ATV's to travel on jobsites to monitor landfills and conduct maintenance on landfill gas equipment aswell as the option to record data using Global Positioning System (GPS) units,tablets, photographs, and digital field site forms.
